Tiko Fold Travel Stand for iPhone and iPodJul 06, 2010 It's an inexpensive, simple design that meets my needs. I don't forsee a problem with the areas that "bend" to set it up. It just works and doesn't command the premium price of similar items that are trying to cash in on the Apple brand.
Works wellJul 01, 2010 This stand is very easy to use. It is a little flimsy, so I keep it in an envelope, flat. It works with the iPhone in a protective case, unlike many other stands.
Great little travel stand for my iphoneJun 24, 2010 I love this product! I am new to using an iphone and having to hold it in my hand is driving me nuts. I like to read books on it and have recently downloaded a presentation notes app I want to use next week when I have two workshops to present. This compact little stand will be invaluable while traveling. I can envision using it on the plane to read and review my notes and by my hotel bed as an alarm clock. The only drawback is that I must turn it sideways in order to plug in the charger cord, but at home I have a clock radio by my bed that charges my phone overnight so that is not a big inconvenience. This stand is sturdy enough that I can use the touchscreen without picking the phone up. I can also use it with the gel skin on the phone, which is great since I hate to remove the skin. I consider it a good value for the price as well because I paid half as much for another stand that is totally useless. Finally, it folds flat and is so lightweight that I can slip it in my purse. It would also fit in a coat pocket.
Tested as iPad standJun 08, 2010 Summary: Although this is sold as a stand for iPhone/iPod, it also works very well with iPad, primarily to hold iPad upright while viewing content. Stand folds well for travel.
You can keep iPad charged when using it in landscape mode, but the bottom is inaccessible when using in portrait. With 10 hours of battery life on the iPad, this hasn't been issue.
My primary use of this item was when traveling. It worked really well as an iPad stand in the airplane while watching movies, and also in the hotel room sitting on a desk. Also, for travel, the stand folds pretty flat and won't take up a lot of space in your carry-on bags.
You wouldn't want to use the stand if you'll be repeatedly tapping/swiping on iPad since it's a little too flimsy for that application.
Great for iPhone or iPadJun 04, 2010 Originally bought this for use with my iPhone. Figured it would be especially handy viewing videos, perhaps while on an airplane. Now, owning an iPad, I find that the stand works just fine for the iPad, too! Although the Apple iPad case makes it somewhat redundant (built-in horizontal stand) the Tiko will hold the Apple case encased iPad in either horizontal or vertical position. Also, the Tiko allows angle adjustment where the case has a single angle. Tiko seems quite sturdy. Very compact. Good job!
